Purchasing Administrator – Temp to Perm
Location: Brownhills
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (42.5 hours per week)
Salary: £27,072 per annum
Contract: Temp to perm
We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Executive on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Brownhills. The company supplies specialist products to trade and commercial customers and operates a fast-paced, order-driven environment.
This is a highly administrative and transactional role, ideal for someone who is organised, detail-focused and confident communicating with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Supplier Ordering
- Run ordering reports to identify purchasing requirements
- Raise and manage supplier purchase orders accurately
- Check supplier prices, quantities and availability against order acknowledgements
- Agree pricing and availability within agreed limits, escalating issues where required
- Create build-ups and manage minimum order quantities where necessary
Communication & Administration
- Manage the purchasing inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records across internal systems
- Communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers and internal teams
- Ensure all purchasing documentation is accurate and up to date
Skills & Experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Confident dealing with suppliers in a professional manner
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- Comfortable using IT systems
- Reliable, adaptable and willing to suggest improvements to ways of working
Contract Details
- Paid weekly through Hariley Solutions for the first 12 weeks
- Following a successful probation period, the role will become permanent directly with the client
