We are recruiting an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to work in Whitchurch. This role offers a competitive pay rate of £16-£22 per hour, depending on the shift, working hours, and assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out safe and timely deliveries and collections.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Secure loads correctly and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Follow planned routes, delivery schedules, and customer instructions.
- Comply with drivers’ hours, tachograph, and road safety regulations.
- Maintain a professional manner when dealing with customers and depot staff.
- Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and roadworthy.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good knowledge of UK driving laws and working-time regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Previous Class 1 driving experience is preferred.
