CNC Setter / Operator – HAAS Machines
Location: Aldridge
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Setter/Operator with experience on HAAS machines to join our clients manufacturing team. If you have a passion for precision machining, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to contribute to high-quality production, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machinery, ensuring smooth and efficient production runs.
- Program CNC machines (HAAS) and utilize CAD/CAM software to produce precise parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and material specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of tooling, fixtures, and machine components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Perform mechanical adjustments, troubleshoot issues, and carry out preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Safely handle materials, including forklift operation and coordinating with warehouse staff.
- Support quality control by verifying dimensions and tolerances during production; document setup procedures and results.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience with CNC machinery, ideally HAAS, including setting, operating, and programming.
- Solid understanding of machining processes including milling, turning, stamping, welding, and fabrication.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and Fanuc controls.
- Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles accurately.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with precision tools.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or factory environment is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and commitment to safety.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members across departments.
