Tamworth (Office-based with field sales)
Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
£30,000 basic + realistic uncapped OTE of £40,000
An established and growing business is seeking a driven Business Development professional to play a key role in expanding its presence across the Tamworth North region.
This role is ideal for a target-driven sales professional with a passion for new business development and relationship management. You’ll be responsible for generating new opportunities while also developing sales from an existing client base.
The position offers a blend of office-based sales activity and field-based client engagement, supported by modern CRM systems and nationwide fulfilment capabilities. With ambitious growth plans in place, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of development.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business through proactive prospecting, cold calling, client visits, and digital outreach (e.g. LinkedIn)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximise retention and growth
- Prepare and present sales proposals and quotations, closing deals and onboarding new clients
- Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM systems
- Analyse sales data to identify opportunities for growth and range expansion
- Track and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against targets
- Consistently exceed achievable sales targets and earn monthly and quarterly bonuses
- Work collaboratively within a positive, team-focused sales environment
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in B2B new business development and cold calling
- Demonstrable ability to convert prospects into long-term clients
- Background in workwear, clothing, or product-based sales is desirable
- Highly self-motivated, organised, and target-focused
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
- Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
