Job Description:

Health & Safety Manager

Salary: Up to £45-55k (plus vehicle / package)
Location: Multi-site / Regional (work across social housing projects)

We are recruiting a Health & Safety Manager to join our growing team, supporting social housing and construction works across occupied and tenanted properties. This is a hands-on role for a proactive professional with a strong construction background and a passion for driving real, practical safety improvements on site.

If you’re someone who thrives in the field—not just auditing from a desk—and you take pride in building a positive safety culture, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct regular site inspections across social housing projects
  • Identify risks, gaps and improvements—and lead delivery of solutions
  • Work closely with operatives, site teams, contracts managers and clients
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, accreditations and audit requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement through best practice and positive safety behaviours
  • Lead and support CDM compliance, RAMS, investigations & reporting
  • Use in-house systems to streamline safety processes and reporting
  • Help strengthen a proactive, safety-first culture across the business

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in social housing & construction
  • Background with a Tier 1 contractor or similar preferred
  • Comfortable working in occupied / tenanted properties
  • Highly practical, solution-driven and confident on site
  • NEBOSH General Certificate & SMSTS (or equivalent / higher)
  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations, RAMS & site safety culture
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong IT confidence—we use modern systems and expect the same mindset
  • Full UK driving licence (travel required)

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and brings a modern, tech-enabled, proactive approach to safety—not just reports and audits.

What We Offer

  • vehicle/allowance (dependent on candidate requirements)
  • Investment in further training and development for the right person
  • Opportunity to shape and strengthen our H&S culture and systems
  • Supportive team environment where initiative is valued
