Job Title: Machine Operator – Day Shift
Location: Wolverhampton
Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm (12 weeks)
Pay: £12.21 per hour
We’re looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join a fast-paced and growing manufacturing and distribution company in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone skilled in machine operation who’s seeking a stable, long-term day-shift position.
Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
- Friday: 07:30 – 13:30
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery including punch press, bending tools, and manual equipment
- Cut materials to size using saws
- Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings
- Carry out machining tasks involving measurements and calculations
- Pack and prepare finished products for dispatch
- Support general labouring and warehouse duties
- Perform manual handling and heavy lifting when required
Requirements
- Proven experience operating industrial machinery
- Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with physical tasks and manual handling
