  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Friday: 8:30am – 3:30pm
    (Please note: these hours may change to 8:00am – 4:30pm)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

Our client, a well-established and respected company in the fasteners industry, is seeking a Sales Executive with technical estimating experience to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis in Wolverhampton.

This is an office-based role that combines sales expertise with technical understanding. The successful candidate will be preparing accurate quotations and providing clients with cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and manage existing accounts, particularly within the Petrochemical sector
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce detailed and accurate quotes
  • Determine manufacturing methods that optimise cost and delivery time
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to gather pricing and production information
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers, building strong and lasting relationships
  • Ensure all quotations are competitive, compliant, and tailored to client needs
  • Maintain up-to-date records of quotes, customer interactions, and sales activities using CRM systems
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to shape sales strategy
  • Meet or exceed sales and performance targets

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a sales or estimating role within the fasteners industry is essential
  • Strong technical knowledge of fasteners and their applications
  • Confident in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Skilled in producing quotes and understanding manufacturing cost structures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability and commercial awareness
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a busy sales environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • A background in engineering, technical sales, or manufacturing is advantageous
