About the Role
Our client, a well-established and respected company in the fasteners industry, is seeking a Sales Executive with technical estimating experience to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis in Wolverhampton.
This is an office-based role that combines sales expertise with technical understanding. The successful candidate will be preparing accurate quotations and providing clients with cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business and manage existing accounts, particularly within the Petrochemical sector
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce detailed and accurate quotes
- Determine manufacturing methods that optimise cost and delivery time
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to gather pricing and production information
- Provide technical advice and support to customers, building strong and lasting relationships
- Ensure all quotations are competitive, compliant, and tailored to client needs
- Maintain up-to-date records of quotes, customer interactions, and sales activities using CRM systems
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to shape sales strategy
- Meet or exceed sales and performance targets
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a sales or estimating role within the fasteners industry is essential
- Strong technical knowledge of fasteners and their applications
- Confident in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Skilled in producing quotes and understanding manufacturing cost structures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and commercial awareness
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a busy sales environment
Preferred Qualifications
- A background in engineering, technical sales, or manufacturing is advantageous
