We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual with a proven track record in targeting new business within the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Location: You will be based at our Dudley office but will have the flexibility to target customers across the UK.
- New Business Development: Research and identify potential new customers in the manufacturing sector.
- Appointment Setting: Independently schedule and manage your appointments.
- Client Interaction: Forge strong relationships with engineers and buyers.
- Communication: Effectively communicate at all levels, from small engineering firms to large corporate companies, including engineers and designers.
- Self-Management: Plan and manage your weekly diary.
- Sales Reporting: Write detailed reports following customer visits.
- Sales Focus: You will be selling sub-contract laser cutting and folding services.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in selling to engineering, manufacturing, or fabrication companies.
- Industry Knowledge: Some knowledge of the steel industry is required, with an understanding of technical drawings considered advantageous.
- Licenses: Must hold a current, clean driving licence.
- Skills: Computer literacy is essential.
- Flexibility: Hours will vary depending on your appointments.
- Reporting: You will report directly to the Director.
