Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Great Bridge (occasional travel to other sites as needed)
Hours: 09:30 – 18:30 with some flexibility on start/finish times; includes one weekend day every couple of weeks

We are seeking an experienced professional to support our clients manufacturing facilities with top-notch maintenance services, ensuring machinery and equipment are always operational to meet their production goals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose, assess, and repair equipment to support continuous production, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Planned Maintenance: Execute the annual maintenance plan, covering every production section.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency enhancement, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Project Support: Assist in equipment relocation, process redesign, and machine upgrades to maintain operational readiness.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all tasks are performed safely in line with company policies and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Engineering Background: City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Engineering, or extensive equivalent experience.
  • Technical Apprenticeship: Completion of a time-served apprenticeship in a technical field.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on knowledge of control systems and PLCs, with strong diagnostic abilities across electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Mechanical Expertise: Solid mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine and reactive maintenance.
