Accounts Administrator

Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm
£12.25 per hour | Temporary to Permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, fast-paced business with a strong reputation in supporting essential operations across the UK. We’re looking for an Accounts Administrator to join our dedicated accounts team and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming phone and email queries, ensuring accurate routing to the relevant department
  • Send requested documentation to customers and process telephone card payments
  • File and manage important paperwork efficiently, including setting up new files
  • Maintain stock of office stationery and ensure availability at all times
  • Process new credit account applications and ensure accurate record keeping
  • Provide admin support to the wider accounts team to assist them in carrying out their roles effectively
  • Use internal systems to log customer interactions and maintain accurate company records
  • Support accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of transactions
  • Attend relevant meetings and training sessions as required
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out in line with company health & safety policies
  • Undertake any additional duties as reasonably required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an accounting or administrative role, preferably as an Accounts Administrator
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as part of a busy team
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and adapt to changing processes
  • High level of computer literacy with excellent keyboard and data entry skills
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Proactive problem-solving approach and a willingness to learn new systems
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of building strong working relationships internally and externally
