7.5T Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team for an exciting temp-perm position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
• 6/7am starts
• 4 days a week with occasional Friday mornings

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 7.5 tonne vehicles.
• Familiarity with flatbed driving is advantageous but not essential.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
• A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles is required as well as valid CPC
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
